About Me

Hello! I’m John and I am originally from San Antonio, Texas. A few years ago my wife and I moved to Denver, Colorado in pursuit of cooler weather and new opportunities. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and a Major in Communication Design. I currently freelance design and development work focusing on digital design, branding and custom WordPress theme development. Additionally, I also have extensive experience in other digital marketing channels such as HTML email design/development and social media. Email design, development, and deployment primarily done with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget) for deployments and list segmentation.

I routinely enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, mountain biking and four-wheeling my custom lifted orange crush Jeep Wrangler (Agent Orange) in the Colorado mountains. Most summer months I can be found hiking with friends capturing 13ers and 14ers as well as caravanning around local Jeep trails. I also frequent neighboring Utah for the trails and as well as local sightseeing. As a Texas native, I visit home often and enjoy vacationing with family at Port Aransas for night fishing from local piers or boarding the Wharf Cat out for some deep sea fishing.

I have a daughter named Piper and I enjoy spending every moment with her laughing and playing. She is a big fan of Disney’s Lion Guard, Elena of Avalor and the Trolls movie. She is just over 4 years old and is very energetic! She’s already going on hikes with us and I look forward to many more. We have 3 dogs: Bailey, Bluebell, and Fiona. Bailey and Blue are Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) and Labrador mixes and Fiona is a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix.

This site exemplifies my personal achievements within the design and development fields and serves as both an online portfolio as well as a personal business tool. My intuitive strengths will be displayed here as I continue my unending journey to acquire new skills and develop them into successes for both the client and myself.
