UCHealth or the University of Colorado Hospital is part of the University of Colorado Health System and is the principal teaching hospital for the University of Colorado School of Medicine, located in Aurora, Colorado.
The Problem
UCHealth planned to have a first annual woman’s health and wellness day hosted at the Pepsi Center and needed an associated landing page to promote the event with featured speakers, a schedule of events, fitness instructors and where to purchase tickets.
The Solution
I designed and mocked up a custom landing page that complimented the pre-approved logo, utilizing similar red and orange gradients with a with a clean and modern contrasting layout that was a departure from the standard UCHealth look and feel that allows the event to live more independently from the parent organization. However, the design does attempt to acknowledge the parent organization in subtle ways, utilizing similar header tags and fonts so as not to appear too separated. Once the design was approved, I proceeded to develop a front facing event template that can be easily edited and updated throughout the year to promote following annual events. The landing page features a promotional sizzle reel from the first event in the hero area of the page featuring yoga classes, speakers, and other related events. Additionally, the landing page features key panel speakers, a responsive table schedule, fitness instructors as well as directing users where to purchase tickets to the event each year.
