Village Inn

The Problem

While employed at a digital marketing agency in Denver, CO, I was regularly tasked with designing and developing weekly HTML emails promoting specials or coupons for various locations. Many of these promotions were to be advertised annually for particular entrées, pies or gift cards.

The Solution

We developed reusable design and development templates so that we could easily update with new content quickly each week. These templates were also capable of responding for mobile, dynamically swapping from wider layouts to taller layouts to achieve better readability for mobile devices. All of our emails were Litmus tested for render reviews and quality control to produce the best possible email content for Village Inn’s customers. Our team has worked closely with Village Inn for over 3 years designing and developing weekly HTML content that combined with marketing send data reports helped Village Inn engage with their customers on a weekly and monthly basis.

Digital Fusion Company Newsletter

The Problem

While working at Digital Fusion, a digital marketing agency located in Lakewood, Colorado we were looking for a way to stay in touch with our current customers and reach out to prospects on a regular basis. We wanted to send a monthly email to these subscribers that would help engage and remind people who we were and what we did. We also wanted to add some personalization to the content of every email that conveyed a sense of who we were and what we stood for as well as our collective interests.

The Solution

We designed an email template that could be reused monthly with new imagery and content that was geared towards current events and where we were as a company. We felt that sharing some of this information with our current and prospective clients was a great way to be more approachable and relatable without being too sales focused. Our goal was to provide interesting unique content that readers would look forward to each month, thus promoting the idea we were more than a company, and more than just employees. We are people that live and work in a digital world and we seek to share some of our interests and experiences with not only our clients, but also the world, and anyone that had similar interests. The monthly emails serve as a unique touchpoint with the company’s subscribers and provided interesting insights about the employees, what we read, watched or were keeping up with within the digital world. Additionally, they featured a monthly Spotify playlist every employee could contribute to throughout the month that subscribers could browse and listen to.

SmashBurger

The Problem

While working for a digital marketing agency located in Lakewood, Colorado we acquired work with Smashburger. They wanted us to create a new email template that matched branding and styling on their new website. The emails would primarily feature coupons for various items.

The Solution

Our company designed and developed a fully responsive email template that would be used regularly with custom digital creative for each coupon offer. Each of the emails was designed to be focus driven by the offer and the reason for the email, with clear calls to action. We designed them to have taller layouts that would look great on both desktop and mobile. Some of these emails included animated gifs to give the communication a more interactive feel, drawing attention and driving higher click rates.

Regal Cinemas Entertainment Group

The Problem

While employed at a marketing agency we acquired the client Regal Cinemas Entertainment Group in Denver, Colorado. Their marketing director wished to have us design and develop a custom email template that could be used for regular monthly Regal Cinemas Group Insider newsletters that shared information about new and upcoming movies as well as theater locations, Regal Crown Club benefits, Gift Cards and various offers and promotions. They also wanted to have the ability to create and edit newsletters themselves for each of their different sales departments within their Salesforce Marketing Cloud email marketing platform.

The Solution

I custom designed and developed a fully responsive, drag and drop template, within their existing Sales Force Marketing Cloud email marketing platform that allowed for easy creation and administration of new marketing newsletters. These templates included as many content options as possible that could easily be swapped in and out by their marketing team to achieve a different layout every time for every new email. Also included was an animated banner section for animated gifs that displayed related marketing efforts. The layout options can be combined to make virtually an unlimited number of layouts as the marketing department needs. This template has been used for over 3 years now and Regal Cinemas Entertainment Group continues to send newsletters with this simple template design on a regular basis.
